Day 1: Reception at the airport – City Tour Cusco
Reception at the Cusco airport to transfer you to your hotel where you can acclimatize before starting our 8 day Cusco tour.
At 1:30 pm we will start our tour from the main square of Cusco to visit:
TEMPLE OF QORICANCHA, built on the base of the Inca foundation where the “sun” god was worshipped, where the Inca walls are still preserved. Then the Fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN, place of offering to the Sun God, famous for the huge polished and molded stones, some of these are 9m high with a weight of 350 tons. Then the Temple of Qenqo: the mystical temple of the Incas Qenqo where religious sacrifices were made, and to Finalize the Military Center of PUCA PUCARA; known as the inn of the Inca soldiers; and the Temple of TAMBOMACHAY. This monument is known as “El Baño de la Ñusta” due to the existence of two aqueducts that carry crystal clear water all year round. At the end of the tour, return and free night.
Day 2: Sacred Inca Valley Tour
At 8:00 am our staff will pick you up at your hotel to start the tour to the Sacred Valley.
At 8:30 am we will start our departure to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, first we will visit the handicraft center of Corao, where we can appreciate the textiles and local handicrafts for about 10 minutes. Then we will pass through the town of Pisaq to reach the archaeological park of Pisaq, a village built on the slopes of the hill with Inca terraces that make the shape of Partridge, back to the village of Pisaq we will have a 10 minute visit a workshop of Silverware. Continuing we will arrive to Urubamba to have lunch for about 40 minutes, and then continue to the town of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the inhabitants of the jungle.
Trip to Machupicchu
4:00 pm after our visit we will approach the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival at the Machupicchu station, the hotel transfer will be waiting to take you to the hotel where our tour guide will give you directions for the visit to the citadel of Machupicchu. Free night to enjoy the charms of Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Day 3: Machupicchu Tour
After breakfast, at the time indicated by our guide, we will board the Consettur bus from Machupicchu town to the archaeological park, through a zigzagging road full of flora and fauna that surrounds Machupicchu. Once at the control gate of the citadel, we will present our tickets to enter with our tour guide. Together with our guide we will visit the Inka citadel of Machu Picchu for 2 hours and a half, we will visit the House of the Guardian from where we will have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu next to the Huanapicchu, the stone quarry, the temple of the sun, the temple of the 3 windows, the agricultural area and the urban area.
At the end of our guided tour, we will have an average of one hour to rest inside the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Then we will take the bus to return to the town of Machupicchu.
Depending on the departure time of our train 30 minutes before we will be at the train station to board our return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo our transfer will be waiting for you to take you to Cusco city, ending our tour in San Francisco Square.
Day 4: Hotel – Airport
Breakfast at the hotel, According to the time of your flight we will proceed to the airport in Cusco city and consequently our farewell.
