Day 1: Airport Reception – City Tour:
Reception at the Cusco airport to transfer you to your hotel where you can acclimatize before starting our 8 day Cusco tour.
At 1:30 pm we will start our tour from the main square of Cusco to visit:
TEMPLE OF QORICANCHA, built on the base of the Inca foundation where the “sun” god was worshipped, where the Inca walls are still preserved. Then the Fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN, place of offering to the Sun God, famous for the huge polished and molded stones, some of these are 9m high with a weight of 350 tons. Then the Temple of Qenqo: the mystical temple of the Incas Qenqo where religious sacrifices were made, and to Finalize the Military Center of PUCA PUCARA; known as the inn of the Inca soldiers; and the Temple of TAMBOMACHAY. This monument is known as “El Baño de la Ñusta” due to the existence of two aqueducts that carry crystal clear water all year round. At the end of the tour, return and free night.
Day 2: Tours to Machu Picchu
At 3:40 am our transfer will pass by the hotel to pick you up and take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo where we will board our train to our desired destination “Machu Picchu”.
At hours 6:10 am approx. We board the train to Machu Picchu for an one hour and 40 minutes enjoying beautiful landscapes and archaeological remains, upon arrival at Machu Picchu our transfer will be waiting for us to give us the indications to start our journey to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
After boarding the bus to Machu Picchu, we will enter with our tour guide. We will have a 2 and a half hour tour, we will visit the Guardian’s House from where we will have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu next to the Huanapicchu, the stone quarry, the temple of the sun, the temple of the 3 windows, the agricultural area and the urban area.
At the end we will leave Machu Picchu to take our bus back to Machu Picchu town. Finally, 30 minutes before departure, we will board the bus to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo our transfer will be waiting for you to take you to Cusco city, ending our tour in San Francisco Square.
Day 3: Hotel – Airport
Breakfast at the hotel, In case you have your departure time from Cusco in the evening hours we can schedule a service with additional cost or take the day off to tour the imperial city and visit the traditional market of San Pedro where you can find local products. After having enjoyed all our service this day will be our farewell at the airport of Cusco or the bus terminal.
