The Colca canyon, located northeast of Arequipa in the province of Caylloma, includes the districts of Callalli and Huambo, covering the foothills of the great Chachani. The Colca canyon is considered one of the deepest in the world, surpassing in some cases the 4000 meters of depth in the town of Canco. It is 165 km from Arequipa and 40 km from Chivay. It has a varied flora and fauna, from which you can observe animals such as: vicuñas, alpacas, vizcachas, etc. typical of this sector of the Peruvian Andes and from the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, every visitor can enjoy the magnificent flight of the condors.

Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay

Departure Chachani behind, where it will go through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, which is inhabited by migratory birds and is also the beautiful Vicuñas territory with tan fur, wool being the most face of the world.

It passes through the crater of a dead volcano and finally arrive at Chivay.

Day 2: Chivay – Cruz del Condor

Very early (6:30) exit on the left bank of the Colca River to the Mirador de La Cruz del Condor, here seen from the depth of the canyon that goes winding as the depth of the canyon is 1,200 meters, also can see the Flight of the Condor. Lunch. Return to Arequipa. Arrival to the city at 6:30 pm.
